You are confirmed for your “second 8 hour” class, Saturday, May 26th, 2018 from 8 to 4:30 PM.
The class will be held in Atlanta, Illinois at the North Greens Golf Course, 901 1st St, Atlanta, IL 61723. We will shoot our qualification in Atlanta as well.
This class covers the laws you need to know to carry concealed, how to carry concealed safely, how to draw from a holster and the shooting qualification. You will get a chance to shoot Glock 17 Laser pistols in the classroom before you even go to the range. We will also practice drawing from a holster using the Glock 17 Laser pistols, and a holster will be provided. You do NOT need a holster for this class, and we will NOT draw from a holster at the range.
If you do not have a gun, one can be provided for you. If you do bring a gun, please feel free to bring it into the classroom, but do NOT bring any live ammunition into the classroom.
What do you need to bring?
- Lunch – you may want to bring a brown bag lunch or run out to get food – we take only 30 minutes for lunch. You may also bring food / drinks into the classroom.
- Pen or Pencil (Notebooks / workbooks will be provided)
- Sweater or sweatshirt (some are invariably cold in any classroom!)
- Please wear pants with a belt, as we will provide you with holsters to practice drawing your gun. (We will NOT be drawing from a holster at the range – this is solely a classroom exercise.)
- Proof of military service or prior training if you are not completing both 8-hour classes.
- Hearing and eye protection for the range (or email in advance so that they can be provided).
- Your $10 Range Fee in cash.
- One box of ammunition.
- Please do not bring any live ammunition into the classroom. If you do not want to leave your gun in your car, you may bring it into the classroom as long as it stays enclosed in the case / bag, and you do not bring live ammunition with it. This is a safety requirement.
